Gabrielle (they/them) currently resides on Tongva, Kizh, and Chumash land, also known as Los Angeles.
They are most drawn to stories that revolve around food, art, and environment. Whether they are writing and editing, steering narrative strategy, or designing community activations, their work is grounded in multimedia storytelling and managing the execution of content strategies.
Gabrielle is passionate about qualitative approaches to narrative. They specialize in foundational research, leading language initiatives, and strategic planning. Common objectives of their work have included radical re-imagination of ideas, weaving multigenerational perspectives, and healing harms through story.
Gabrielle is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and an aspiring music connoisseur. They have an MFA in Creative Writing. Their poetry has been nominated for Best of the Net and Best New Poets. Previously, They were a graduate fellow with The Oxford American Magazine, Editor in Chief of Linden Avenue Literary Journal, and Managing Editor at The Tenth Magazine, an independent Black queer media organization. They are currently the Managing Editor for TransLash News and Narrative, a trans storytelling platform. Gabrielle has the pleasure of serving on the LA Chapter Board of the The Association of LGBTQ Journalists.
